What did you do this past week?

This past week I finished up my IOS homework and put together a project proposal with my team for the app that we will be working on all semester long. I’m excited because it’s ambitious but I really like the idea. Our goal is to create a platform for people to create and share their own “choose your own adventure game.” Right now we’re planning to name it ‘Adventure Architect’.

What’s in your way?

The cold.

What will you do next week?

Next week we will hopefully begin developing our IOS app. If we get another project for this class I’ll start on that.

If you read it, what did you think of the Pair Programming?

I agree with pretty much everything the article had to say. Programming in pairs is more fun than programming by myself and the code produced is better.

What was your experience of operators, pointers, and references? (this question will vary, week to week)

Operators, pointers and references were some of the things that bewildered me most about C++ and C. After this week I feel like I beginning to grasp how they all fit together.

What made you happy this week?

I baked chocolate chip oatmeal cookies and they were delicious. They are also all gone, so I’m going to have to bake something else now.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My pick of the week is the following banana bread recipe because it’s simple and delicious (I recommend 3 bananas): https://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/banana_bread/

I also like the following variations:

  • a teaspoon of instant coffee dissolved in a little hot water
  • cinnamon, cardamom and cloves
  • chocolate chips
